Monitor's meeting with Principal

 MONITORS’ MEETING WITH PRINCIPAL MADAM 7th Sept.:The incumbent of a class is responsible for the supervision of students and student activities and for maintaining order in the classroom, school building, school libraries, on school grounds and much more. Honourable Principal RPSD, Ms. Raman Preet Kaur hosted a meeting for the monitors of Grade VI to VIII. The purpose of the meeting was to guide the student leaders on how to promote better classroom management in their respective classes with school regulations, policies and school events to enable them to work closely and to help them develop leadership, management and public relations skills. Students also shared their concerns with Principal Ma’am and made a few requests as well. Such inspiring interaction with the Head of the school filled the students with a new energy and enthusiasm.

Student's Visit to Parliament House

 STUDENTS’ VISIT TO PARLIAMENT HOUSE 7th Sept.: “Democracy is a way of life in India. The laws made in the building, the deliberations made here are all building blocks of our democracy.” Students of the Middle Wing, RPSD got a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit the Parliament House in Delhi today. Our group consisted of 88 students and 4 escorting teachers. Students were in awe of the supreme legislative body of India. They were able to observe and correlate their classroom learning to the whole trip. They saw the Lok sabha, Rajya Sabha and the Central Hall and learnt about their respective seating plans. Students also got to know about Democratic Heritage in India. Overall, this was an educational visit which would propel the students to become the next responsible and dedicated citizen of our country.

Onam Celebration

 ONAM CELEBRATION AT RPSD 7th September: Onam is the harvest festival of Kerala. The festival of Onam is dedicated to the King Mahabali who sacrificed himself along with his kingdom in order to stand true to his words. Students of the Middle Wing under the supervision of Ms. Geetha Nair organised the event in the school auditorium. Respected Headmistress, Middle Wing graced the event with their presence. Beautiful and colourful rangoli was displayed on the floor. Students beautifully enacted the mythological story of King Mahabali, followed by an instrumental music performance, Tiger Dance and Onam Dance to commemorate the day. Audience were also explained the significance of other interesting activities like Boat Race, Tug of War and Feast on the festival of Onam. Hindi Quiz

 HINDI QUIZ, MIDDLE WING RPSD 2nd Sept.: Hindi is the simplest source of expression of our nation. To inspire students to learn Hindi language and have command over the various aspects of the language like literature and grammar, the Hindi Department, Middle Wing organised a quiz for Grade VI to VIII students in school. There were six teams from each grade that competed amongst each other. Various questions based on Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Hindi Grammar were asked from the students. The winner teams were: *Grade VI – Team Hanuman & Team Lakshman (1st Position) Team Bharat (2nd Position) *Grade VII – Team Krishn (1st Position) Team Karan (2nd Position) *Grade VIII – Team Hemchand (1st Position) Team Patanjali (2nd Position) Congratulations to all the winners!

Ganesh Chaturthi

 Special Assembly, Middle Wing – Ganesh Chaturthi Aug. 31st: “ वक्र तुंड महाकाय, सूर्य कोटि समप्रभ:। निर्विघ्नं कुरु मे देव शुभ कार्येषु सर्वदा ॥” Lord Ganesha is revered as our divine mentor and protector. It is believed that on Ganesh Chaturthi, Lord Ganesha, the god of knowledge, wisdom and prosperity, bestows his presence on earth. To mark this auspicious day, students of Grade VII-Yen along with their CT-Ms Annu conducted a special assembly in school today. The recitation of Sanskrit Shlokas made the atmosphere pious and serene. Students also presented a short skit themed on the famous ‘Ganesh-Kartikeya Race Around the World Episode’ from the Hindu mythology. Ms. Annu narrated a story to make students realise the significance of the 10-day celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi.
